A to Z April - Letter B: Biographies

Continuing with my book theme for this challenge, I've decided to share some biography/memoir type books.  Biographies of course are books about a person, sometimes written by themselves, then they are usually called autobiographies, or often they are now called memoirs.  Below is a list of my top 5 favorite biographies in no particular order.

The World's Strongest Librarian:

The Wilder Life:  My Adventures in the Lost World of Little House on the Prairie:

The Immortal Life of Henrietta Lacks:

Save Karyn:

Nerd Do Well:

Oooh, there is one more I read just recently that was really good, so I have to do a #6:

Last Night at the Viper Room:

So, 6 instead  of 5, but check them out if you want a good biography to read!  And again, while you're here, go enter my stop on the Fool for Books Giveaway Hop!

  1. I'm posting about bookish topics during the A-Z Challenge, too!
Of the books you mention here, I've read Henrietta Lacks--which I liked, and Wilder Life--which I LOVED! In fact, I went out and bought a copy after I borrowed it from the library, because I knew I'd want to read parts of it again. I really liked the author's writing voice, and I hope to read more from her.

    1. I had an ARC of The Wilder Life, loved it as well! I finally gave in and bought myself a copy of Henrietta Lacks because I'd been reading bits and pieces on the days I worked at my part time job at the bookstore. Thanks for stopping by!

  2. I'm not reading many biographies, but I have some really good ones, such as biographies about Tolstoy and Dostsyevsky (I even went to see Dostoyevsky's apartment in St Petersburg after reading the latter.) And there are dome really cool autobiogrsphies by the physicist Richard Feynman >:)
