March 2019 Wrap-Up Post and Looking Ahead to April

So, I was on top of things, almost way ahead, then, beginning of this month, I got sick.  And that cough/upper respiratory infection/asthma flareup issues lasted for almost all month.  It was just this past week that I was finally able to sleep normally, without having to be sitting up to keep myself from coughing all night.  Now, I'm still pretty close to being on track, but not ahead, at all.  I took a trip during my spring break, and it was a weekend away from my dogs, everyone, it was supposed to be for writing.  But I was sick.  So I just kind of relaxed and kept up with blogging that needed to be kept up with, but didn't get anywhere near ahead.

However, I am still happy that I'm up to date enough to be still on top of an end of the month post.

Let's start with the reading stats again this month.

Once, again, according to Goodreads, I've read 59 of the 215 books I've set as my goal for the year, March  made up 20 of those.  I am 7 books ahead of schedule, but till debating whether to up my goal or not.

Here is a list of books I've read this month, and I'll link to my review if I've finished it:

  1. The Everlasting Rose by Dhonielle Clayton
  2. Hold On by Samantha Young
  3. Space by Penny Reid
  4. The Last 8 by Laura Pohl
  5. The Kiss Quotient by Helen Hoang
  6. Riot by Jamie Shaw
  7. Soaring With Fallon by Kristen Proby
  8. Pucked (re-read/listen) by Helena Hunting
  9. The Hashtag Hunt by Kristina Seek
  10. Girls With Sharp Sticks by Suzanne Young
  11. Misadventures of a City Girl by Meredith Wild and Chelle Bliss
  12. Just Swipe Right by Allie York
  13. Play (re-read) by Kylie Scott
  14. Drunk Dial by Penelope Ward
  15. Hissy Fit by Lani Lynn Vale
  16. Eyes on Me by Rachel Harris
  17. Forever Mine by Kennedy Fox
  18. Sky Without Stars by Jessica Brody and Joanne Rendell
  19. The Roommate Agreement by Emma Hart
  20. Wicked Saints by Emily A. Duncan
Any that aren't reviewed are either part of upcoming blog tours, or I just haven't had time yet to review.

Books that I read in February but didn't get reviewed until March are:
  1. Within These Lines by Stephanie Morrill
  2.  Off Limits by Vivian Ward
  3. Slaughterhouse-Five by Kurt Vonnegut
  4. The Sweetest Match by Abby Tyler
  5. A Beautiful Day in the Neighborhood:  The Poetry of Mister Rogers by Fred Rogers
  6. One in a Million by Jill Shalvis
  7. Moonlight Sins by Jennifer L. Armentrout
  8. Diary of a Bad  Boy by Meghan Quinn
So, while I will have 50 posts for March after this one goes up, since it is a longer month than February, I'll say that I stayed about the same for not really getting better about less posts.  Still working on that!  I had 18 of those 50 that were review posts, and one of those had 4 reviews in it.  I've been good with my weekly posts I want to keep up with too!  My rating was the same as February, 4.4 stars for the books I read.

Okay, on with my challenges.

1.  As I mentioned above, still working on my Looking Forward To posts once a week, have moved them to Wednesdays to coincide with everyone else's Waiting on  Wednesday or Can't Wait Wednesday posts.
March 13th
March 20th
March 27th

Had a bad time with commenting on other blogs with being sick myself, as well as it seemed I had internet issues sometimes with just responding to comments on my own blog!

Been doing well on cleaning up my Goodreads TBR with my weekly post and giveaway, as well as even my physical TBR a little.  I still only have one person joining in, but feel free to join in as well.  Here are the posts for that:
March 2nd
March 9th
March 16th
March 23rd
March 30th - And this giveaway is still up for the next week!

2.  My Reading Goals are coming along with the Goodreads challenge, but haven't read any of my other specific books that friends suggested yet.  Unless I count finishing The Kiss Quotient.

3.  Writing goals went kind of phooey this past month. The best thing though is that I found a critique partner who gave me some great feedback.  Now I just need time and the health to go back and write and fix those things!

Not so great with this one.  Didn't add a single one from my list this month.

I actually joined in this month!  I posted a discussion about when you start not enjoying your former favorite authors:  I Will Always Love You or Do You Ever Begin to Get Over Favorite Authors.
I even have an idea for a discussion post I hope to do in April, if I get time!

Also, still need some kind of button for the First in the Series Challenge, but since I didn't do any of the ones on my list, no biggie.

Now, yesterday was the coolest day all of the month of March because Planet Comicon is taking place in my hometown this weekend.  So I got to meet some of my idols!  First was the one I spent big money on and am so glad I got to meet!

So cool, but so quick when you do the professional photos, so didn't do much other than pose and move on.  But still, I TOUCHED the Weasley twins!!!!!!

Had a little extra time before my photo op for the Weasley twins took place, so I decided to stop by and see Mark Pellegrino, or who I know as Lucifer from Supernatural.

My sister went with me, and she was there to meet her big idols, Superman and Lex Luthor, but from Smallville.  As we were leaving, she decided to go ahead and stop to see Dean Cain.  He was so nice, complimented her eyes a lot.  As I was standing to the side holding all her stuff so she didn't have to hold it in the picture, he asked who I was and said we should all get a picture, so that was a bonus shot!

Bonnie Wright, who played Ginny Weasley was there, but I was broke, and also William Shatner and Henry Winkler, but they weren't ones I HAD to see, so I was okay with what I saw and did.  I did see Wallace Shawn walking over to do his photo op, and he smiled at me, so that was kinda cool.

Looking forward to in April:
Okay, so here is my proposed TBR based on my blog tours and review requests for this month:

  1. Stormy Kind of Love by Tia Lee - reading this one now, supposed to review this coming Friday, but not enjoying it, so it may be a DNF.
  2. Smoke and Key by Kelsey Sutton - Reading the ARC of this one right now, and part of a blog tour scheduled for the 10th.
  3. The Stars in Her Eyes by C.M. Albert - review on the 11th
  4. Two for Holding by Kay Gordon - review on the 12th
  5. The Hummingbird Dagger by Cindy Anstey - review on the 15th
  6. All We Could Have Been by T.E. Carter - signed up for a tour, don't know yet if I got it, but could be reviewing on either the 16th or 19th
  7. Give Me Fever by Jasmine and Arielle Lockhart - signed up for a review, I think on the 18th
  8. The Perfect Dress by Carolyn Brown - review on the 21st
  9. Baby Mine by Kennedy Fox - review on the 23rd
  10. Lord Have Mercy by Lani Lynn Vale - review on the 24th
  11. We Were Beautiful by Heather Hepler - review on the 26th
  12. Imperfect Match by Corinne Michaels and Melanie Harlow - review on the 29th
  13. Boyfriend Bargain by Ilsa Madden-Mills
  14. Romanov by Nadine Brandes
  15. #Poser by Cambria Hebert - currently listening to
  16. Tinfoil Heart by Daisy Prescott - currently reading
  17. First Down by Michelle Sodaro - currently reading
  18. Time by Penny Reid - review will be shortly after pub date, they're not sending e-galleys early!
  19. Things We Never Said by Samantha Young
There will probably be another audiobook somewhere in there, just not sure what I'll listen to next.  Because things have been so crazy this month, I'm going to skip the Best of the Bunch challenge today and just go ahead and wrap this post up.    One last reminder, don't forget to enter the giveaway on my last Cleaning Up My TBR Post which I linked to up above, the prize is going to be 3 books this week instead of just 2!

February 2019 Wrap-Up Post and Looking Ahead to March

Okay, proud of myself for being on top of things, for the most part, with blogging so far this year.  I did one of these wrap-up posts for January, HERE, and I'm hoping to incorporate some more items this month based on things I saw and liked on other people's wrap-up posts.

Usually I start with my challenge progress, but this month I'm going to start with my reading stats, etc.

So for, for the year of 2019, according to Goodreads, I've read a total of 39 out of my goal of 215 books.  February made up 18 of those.  I am currently 5 books ahead of schedule, so I may be raising my goal for the year to 220.

Here is a list of the books I've read this month, and I've linked them if I got the review done.

1 - 3.  Ruthless King, Defiant Queen,  and Sinful Empire by Meghan March
4.   Courting Darkness by Robin LaFevers
5.  Unlucky in Love by A.J. Renee
6.  Within These Lines by Stephanie Morrill
7.  The Secret to Falling in Love by Victoria Cooke
8.  Off Limits by Vivian Ward
9.  The Boyfriend Whisperer 2.0 by Linda Budzinski
10.  Lucky Suit by Lauren Blakely
11.  To Best the Boys by Mary Weber
12.  Slaughterhouse-Five by Kurt Vonnegut
13.  The Sweetest Match by Abby Tyler
14.  A Beautiful Day in the Neighborhood:  The Poetry of Mister Rogers by Fred Rogers
15.  Rabbit and Robot by Andrew Smith
16.  One in a Million by Jill Shalvis
17.  Moonlight Sins by Jennifer L. Armentrout
18.  Diary of a Bad Boy by Meghan Quinn

Any that aren't reviewed yet are either waiting for a blog tour in March, or just for me to have time to write a review.  Books that I read in January, but didn't get reviewed till February are:

1.  A Danger to Herself and Others by Alyssa Sheinmel
2.  Teaching Tucker by Jillian Quinn
3.  Between Before and After by Maureen Doyle
4.  Motion by Penny Reid
5.  Repeat by Kylie Scott
6.  Shadow and Bone by Leigh Bardugo

Something interesting I noticed with the spreadsheet I'm using to keep track of my books this year is that I only read female authors until just recently.  And then I had three male authors all at once.  Kind of weird!  Or maybe it just shows how much romance I'm reading, although even most of the YA I read is by female authors.

Other February stats I want to talk about have to do with how many posts I did.  Let's just say I did NOT do any better about doing less posts this month.  I've posted 49 times this month, and it's a shorter month than January where I'd only posted 40 times!  March looks pretty busy too. But right now I'm working hard to keep April from filling up and getting crazy. We'll see if I can stick to that as more tours come out that I want to be a part of.  Only 11 were reviews, although one was a mini-review post and had 5 reviews in it.  According to my spreadsheet, my rating average was 4.4 stars, down from 4.5 last month.

Let's move on to talking about how I'm doing on my Challenges:

So, I signed up to do this challenge with Olivia's Catastrophe.  I didn't get to all my books that I set as goals HERE.   I did get three read, Slaughterhouse-Five, Rabbit and Robot, and Moonlight Sins.  I started a 4th one, Riot by Jamie Shaw this week, but didn't get it done in time. Because I just had to make sure I was keeping up on my review books.  But I'm still proud of getting about half of my goals done for a two week challenge.  None of them are reviewed yet, that will be in March's post I'm sure.

1.  For blogging resolutions I've continued with my Lisa's Looking Forward To posts and created a little button for it:

This month's posts were:
February 3rd
February 12th
February 19th
February 26th - This one also includes the two weeks after it, due to there not being a lot of books each week, and me wanting to get set to start doing this on Wednesdays.

Another goal was to comment on other blogs more often, and I feel like I'm continuing to do better, this is a work in progress. But there were only 5 days this month I didn't comment on someone else's blog.

My third goal for blogging was made last month, and it was to work on cleaning up my Goodreads TBR.  So far it has only been on there, but I plan to do some physical TBR cleaning in the near future, especially if I want to move this summer.  I've been doing giveaways every week with this post, in order to get rid of the ARCs I have already read and know I won't read again, so I'll pass them on.  Still haven't come up with my own badge for this one, but I'm working on it.  I'm also going to start adding a Link-Up to the posts in case anyone else wants to join in, because I know a few of you have!

This month's posts were:
February 2nd
February 9th
February 16th
February 23rd - Giveaway open till midnight tonight!

2.  For my reading resolutions, I am still working on the goal of reading books that were recommended.  I got the review posted for the one I read last month, Shadow and Bone, and then I read a second one, Slaughterhouse-Five by Kurt Vonnegut this month, which I'll probably post a review of in March.  Also, as I mentioned above, I may be upping my goal of books to read on Goodreads to 220, based on the fact that I am more than 5 books ahead.  Haven't decided yet.  May wait until after March to see if I'm still ahead that many or not.

3.  For my writing resolutions I am pretty proud that I've found a critique partner!  I had some suggestions of websites to try, one of them being CritiqueMatch.com.   And the first person who reached out to me has been great!  In fact, what she's having me read for her is sooooooo good already, I feel a little embarrassed to share my writing with her.  I also had a co-worker/friend from the bookstore who is a romance reader like I am, likes all the same authors really, read through my short story.  She liked it, she said, but she also gave me a great idea for something I want to re-do in it.  Since it is kind of based in New Orleans, I also reached out to my friend who the bar in the story is based on, and asked him if I could use the bar's real name, to which he said yes.  So I am feeling really good about finishing up my short story.  I even have a short get away planned during my spring break in March where I'm hoping to really get down to work on the short story and maybe work on finishing another story I've had sitting around.

Well, I've improved by one of my goals for this one by reading Rabbit and Robot by Andrew  Smith this month.  Hoping to pick at least one more if not two, to get read this month!

Still no discussions, even though I keep having thoughts on topics I want to do!  I guess I need to just pick one and as soon as it pops into my head, immediately find a spot on my blogging calendar for it.

I need to come up with a button for this one I think, but for the First in the Series Challenge, I haven't read any more since I read Shadow and Bone, but since I only have a goal of 6 for the year, that is probably good.

Looking forward to in March:

Here is my proposed TBR based on my blog tours and review requests for this month:

  1. The Last 8 by Laura Pohl - I've got an ARC of this, meant to have it read by this weekend, tomorrow actually, but with doing the Catastrophe Challenge last month I didn't get it read yet.  Fingers crossed I will still get to it soon.
  2. Within These Lines by Stephanie Morrill - review on the 3rd
  3. The Everlasting Rose by Dhonielle Clayton - currently reading, was supposed to read in February, but again, due to the Catastrophe Challenge got started late.  Will post the review as part of a tour on Monday, the 4th for sure!
  4. Diary of a Bad Boy by Meghan Quinn - review on the 7th
  5. The Sweetest Match by Abby Tyler - review on the 8th
  6. Soaring With Fallon by Kristen Proby - review on the 12th
  7. Hold On by Samantha Young - review on the 13th
  8. A Beautiful Day in the Neighborhood:  The Poetry of Mister Rogers by Fred Rogers - review on the 14th
  9. (Maybe) The Hashtag Hunt by Kristina Seek - review on either the 14th or 16th
  10. Space by Penny Reid - review on the 15th
  11. Girls with Sharp Sticks by Suzanne Young - review on the 17th
  12. Just Swipe Right by Allie York - review on the 18th
  13. The Hookup Handbook by Kendall Ryan - review on the 19th
  14. Hissy Fit by Lani Lynn Vale - review on the 20th
  15. Sky Without Stars by Jessica Brody - review on the 23rd
  16. The Last Voyage of Poe Blythe by Ally Condie - review on the 24th
  17. Eyes on Me by Rachel Harris - review on the 25th
  18. The Roommate Agreement by Emma Hart - review on the 27th
  19. Wicked Saints by Emily A. Duncan - review on the 28th
  20. A Place for Wolves by Kosoko Jackson - review on the 31st
  21. We Were Beautiful by Heather Hepler
  22. Stormy Kind of Love by Tia Lee
It kind of looks like maybe I've bitten off more than I can chew? We'll see.  Like I mentioned earlier, I do have spring break, a whole week off, this month, so maybe?  A few listed are ARCs that publishers sent me without me requesting them specifically, so I may not get to them over what I did request and sign up for blog tours. There are also a couple that I don't think I've heard back from the blog tour people yet, so I may not even be getting to read them.  Also a couple were read this past month if you remember from earlier in this post, they'll just be getting reviews posted in March.

One last thing, I'm going to join up with Best of the Bunch hosted by A Cocoon of Books:

Best of the Bunch is a monthly linkup where we can share the best books we read each month and award one of them "Best of the Bunch." This blog hop originated at Lyrical Reviews and then moved over to Always Lost in Stories. At the end of 2014, hosting was handed over to A Cocoon of Books.

At the end of each month, take a look what you read that month and share your favorites. Then tell us which one is the Best of the Bunch — the one everyone should add to their to-read lists right now. You can use any criteria you want to determine which book to award Best of the Bunch. Then come back here and link up! The linkup will post at midnight Eastern Time on the last day of each month.

On your post, please include a link back to this page or to the homepage for A Cocoon of Books!

I'm going to choose two, one is my top YA read of the month:

I loved so much getting back to one of my favorite all time stories and the characters!

Now, for my Adult Romance top read for the month, I'm going to actually cheat a little and pick a trilogy that I listened to this month, because they were so good I couldn't wait in between each one!

I think that's all I need to wrap up, for now!  I did link to the giveaway I have going until midnight tonight, and a new one will start tomorrow on my Cleaning Up My TBR post.

January 2019 Wrap-Up Post and Looking Ahead to February

I'd like to do better about wrap up posts this year as another kind of blog resolution.  So let's start out that way! I recently was pointed to All About Books for spreadsheets she already had made that could help with organizing.  I'm using the first one to keep track of my year-long reading.  I've gotten more familiar with Google Documents since I used another blogger's spreadsheet last year for my ALA convention plans, and then created my own based on that for the Book Bonanza the following month.  So hopefully, this will be a big help for me in doing wrap-up posts, at the end of the year for sure!

Let's start by talking about my Challenges and any progress I've made.

1.  For my Blogging resolutions, I've been doing really good so far for the posts I wanted to do that listed the upcoming books to be published that week.  I've titled that post "Lisa's Looking Forward To".  I've been doing them on Sundays, but I think in the next month or so I'll maybe switch it to Wednesdays, and tie in with the Can't Wait Wednesday Meme.  Here are links to the posts I did this month.
January 8th
January 13th
January 27th

There was one week this month that only had one book on my list to share, so I ended up not doing it that week.

Another part of my blogging resolutions was to comment more on other blogs, and I've got a little planner where I'm keeping track of that.  In the 2 weeks that I've been keeping track, I've commented almost every day on at least one blog.

There's a third goal I want to add to blogging.  I'm going to do the Clean My TBR Pile post hopefully about once a week. And along with that, I'm doing giveaways each week.  Unfortunately since they are books I actually own, they've only been US so far.  I'm still trying to come up with a way to make them International, yet still cost-effective for me.  Here are my posts from this year so far:

January 12th
January 19th
January 26th - Giveaway open till midnight tonight!

2. For my reading resolutions, I had kept my goal from the year before, that I didn't meet, to read books recommended to me.  I have completed one of the five I picked, just finished reading Shadow and Bone by Leigh Bardugo this week.  Won't get a review posted till February some time though.

3.  For my writing resolutions, nothing.  Nothing done. Although, I had to figure out with my short story how I could change it so that it wasn't actually based on real people in my life, and I did figure that out, so now I can start going through it again and changing those things as I edit.  Plus, I went to seasonal at my part time job at the bookstore, so there should be lots more time to write this month!

My main goal with this was to get the ARCs I picked up at ALA convention last summer read, 12 of them.  So far, I've finished a big fat 0 of them.  One of them will fit into a new challenge though that I'm doing in February, so I'll talk more about that in a bit.

Nothing yet.  But I only plan to do 4 for the year, so I've got 2 more months before I'm technically behind.

For the First in the Series Challenge that I'm doing, which has no button or banner yet, I've read one of my six choices, Shadow and Bone by Leigh Bardugo.  Only 5 more to go!

On Monday I signed up to take part in the Catastrophe Read-a-Thon sponsored by Olivia's Catastrophe.  You can check out my sign up post for that HERE.  It doesn't start till February 14th, so I've got a bit on that.

January Stats:
So far this month I've finished - 20 books (although one or two were actually started last year).  To make my Goodreads goal of 215 for the year, I only needed to read 18, so I'm ahead!  I've definitely done a lot more reading so far this year.

I've posted a total of 40 times, which is more than the one post a day I want to try to shoot for, 16 of those were reviews.   According to the stats spreadsheet I'm using, the average rating so far this year is 4.5 stars.

Looking forward to in February:
As I mentioned above, the Catastrophe Read-a-thon is half of February.

Here is my proposed TBR, according to blog tours and review requests I've signed up for this month:

  1. Courting Darkness by Robin LaFevers - currently reading, review on the 4th.
  2. Unlucky in Love by A.J. Renee - review on the 5th
  3.  Teaching Tucker by Jillian Quinn - currently reading, review on the 6th
  4. The Secret to Falling in Love by Victoria Cooke, review on the 9th
  5. My Life in Shambles by Karina Halle, review on the 13th
  6. Unsteady Heart by Keira M. Belle, review on the 24th
  7. To Best the Boys by Mary Weber, review on the 27th
  8. (Maybe) The Boyfriend Whisperer 2.0 by Linda Budzinski, review on the 18th, 28th, or 29th
  9. The Everlasting Rose by Dhonielle Clayton
  10. Slaughterhouse-Five by Kurt Vonnegut
  11. Rabbit and Robot by Andrew Smith
  12. Magonia by Maria Dahvana Headley
  13. Riot by Jamie Shaw
  14. Moonlight Sins by Jennifer L. Armentrout
  15. Hot Winter Nights by Codi Gary
  16. Fangirl by Rainbow Rowell
  17. Within These Lines by Stephanie Morrill
  18. The Last 8 by Laura Pohl
  19. The Sweetest Match by Abby Tyler
  20. Diary of a Bad Boy by Meghan Quinn

Whew!  That's a long list.  A few of those are ARCs I got sent from the publisher, and will hope to get to, but won't be stressed. Some at the end are ones that I will review in March, and so may not get to by the end of the month.  I may have to see if there are any of the non-new ones that I can do as audiobooks!  Like the Jamie Shaw book maybe.  We'll see.  And since I haven't heard for sure if I'm on the tour for The Boyfriend Whisperer, that one might be cancelled out!

Okay everyone, that's my January wrap-up post!  I linked above to the giveaway I've got going on until midnight tonight. And I'll be posting one tomorrow as well for my Clean off my TBR post, so be sure to check back then too.  Maybe by next month's wrap-up I'll get some graphics made for a couple of the ones I've talked about above.

Catastrophe Read-a-thon

I like the idea of this challenge, it ties in with some of my own blogging/reading goals for the year.  As long as I can fit it all in with my review books, I should be able to do it!  It's being sponsored by Olivia at Olivia's Catastrophe.  Here is the info from her blog post:

Mission

The catastrophe the read-a-thon is centered around is the TBR Catastrophe! To help solve it we are going to be reading books that have been on our TBRs for too long.

Dates

14th – 28th of February. Two weeks of reading!

Hashtag

You can use this hashtag on Twitter, bookstagram or booktube if you’re sharing or participating on those sites! The hashtag is #catreadathon

Reading Prompts

You can read whatever you want, but here are 7 reading challenges to keep you busy.
  1. Read your oldest unread book
  2. Read a 400+ tome
  3. Cover Buy
  4. So old you don’t know where it’s from
  5. An author you know and love
  6. A new to you author
  7. A hyped book
Okay, here are my proposed books to read:

  1. Slaughterhouse-Five by Kurt Vonnegut
  2. Rabbit and Robot by Andrew Smith
  3. Magonia by Maria Dahvana Headley
  4. Okay, so there aren't any books I don't know where they came from.  Instead I'll just pick one from a series I need/want to read on in:  Riot  by Jamie Shaw
  5. Moonlight Sins by Jennifer L. Armentrout - didn't know if I'd read this one, but now I really want to after reading about the newest book in the series.
  6. Hot Winter Nights by Codi Gary - it's a short book that I want to check out!
  7. Fangirl by Rainbow Rowell, I've owned it for a while.  Even accidentally bought a new copy of it when it came out with a pink/red cover instead of the original green one.  So yeah, I need to read it.
Hopefully I can fit it in with whatever I need to read, I'm a little ahead of my review books at the moment, so I'll try to keep ahead as much as I can, maybe get further ahead if I can!  Maybe I'll even change one of the choices above to a audible book I purchased so I can listen to one.

There are some blog challenges too, I am going to maybe join into these:

16th: 400+ Tomes: Show us the top 5 big books on your TBR.
18th: Cover Buy Discussion: Do covers matter? Show us some bad books with pretty covers and great books with ugly covers.
20th: Can’t remember where it came from: Tell us where you buy your books and why there?
22nd: Author you know and love: Show us books by your favourite authors you have yet to read!
24th: New to you authors: Show us books on your TBR by authors you’ve never read before!
26th: The Hype Discussion: Are you more or less likely to pick up a book when it is hyped? What hyped books did you like/not like?
28th: Wrap Up: Share your wrap up of the read-a-thon.

There is a Bookstagram challenge.  I'm not great about keeping up with those, but it would be fun to try.

Top 10 of 2018: Books I'm Looking Forward to in 2019 with Giveaway

Technically this post is for tomorrow, but since I already have a post planned for tomorrow, I decided to go ahead and do it today.  This is hosted by Kimberly Faye Reads, so thanks to her, I have a group to join in with.  Now, here are the top 10 books I'm looking forward to next year, in no particular order:

1.

2.

3.

4.

5.

6.

No title or cover yet, but still excited for it!

7.

8.

9.

Top 10 of 2018: Books I Meant to Read in 2018 with Giveaway

This was actually the first day theme for Kimberly Faye Reads event, but since I didn't join in until after, I put it off for a day I'd already done what the topic for that day was, and today is supposed to be cover love.  You can check out my Cover Love post HERE.  I had a lot of books on my list to read this past year.  A lot that I got ARCs of at ALA in NOLA this past summer that I just didn't get fit in.  A few others I heard so much about, but just didn't get the time to read.  So here are the top 10 I wish I'd had time to read this past year.

So I have physical ARCs of all but two of these, and of those two, I think I have an e-galley that might still be good to read. But who knows when/if I might get to that.  Physical copies have more chance.  Have you read any of those?  Do you suggest I move any to the top of my TBR?  What book did you mean to read this past year but didn't get to?

Below is today's giveaway.  But I've posted four other giveaways this week on my other Top 10 posts:  Top 10 New to Me Authors, Top 10 Favorite CoversTop 10 Favorite Books,  and Top 10 Book Boyfriends.
And hey, there aren't that many entries yet, so you have a good chance!  Go enter!  But share if you can!  Enter today and then come back tomorrow for yet another giveaway!  These will run until the end of 2018.
