Waiting on Wednesday: The Raven King (The Raven Cycle #4) by Maggie Stiefvater

Waiting on Wednesday is a weekly event hosted by Jill at Breaking the Spine where we spotlight upcoming releases that we're eagerly awaiting.  My pick this week is the final book in what will probably be one of my favorite series ever.  It's one that I know I won't be able to have a matching set of ARCs because it will probably not be available that way according to the author.  This is a series that is almost impossible to tell someone exactly what it is about, but it is sooooo good!  I love the characters, the mythology, all of it.  And such a cliffhanger at the end of the third one, I'm so ready to read and find out what will happen, and how it will all work out.  Here is the very little blurb from Goodreads:

The fourth and final installment in the spellbinding series from the irrepressible, #1 New York Times bestselling author Maggie Stiefvater.

All her life, Blue has been warned that she will cause her true love's death. She doesn't believe in true love and never thought this would be a problem, but as her life becomes caught up in the strange and sinister world of the Raven Boys, she's not so sure anymore.

In a starred review for Blue Lily, Lily Blue, Kirkus Reviews declared: "Expect this truly one-of-a-kind series to come to a thundering close."

Have you read this series yet?  If not, you definitely need to pick it up and get started.  Have you read any of her books?  I love all of them. Every time I think one might not sound like my type of story, I pick it up and give it a chance, and am sucked right in by the wonderful characters that she writes.  And then all the stories are my type.

What book are you eagerly awaiting this week?

  2. I saw yesterday a lot of people were upset that this has been pushed back to a 2016 release. I haven't read the series, but have heard really good things about it. I hope you don't have to wait long.

    1. Yeah, the author posted about it the other day. But like she said, we'd rather have it done right instead of having it out on the original date and not done the way it should be. YOu should try the series sometime, it is so good! Thanks for visiting!
