  • Waiting on Wednesday

  • Maybe Cover Characteristic post
I've been a bit overwhelmed by all the e-galleys I've requested lately.  I feel like I'm going to have to do much better about requesting them.  And I'm also going to give myself a break from them for awhile.  I'll still try to get some of them done, the ones that I know for sure I want to read.  But others that I may have requested but am not so sure about now, well they'll probably not make it through the time I have.  I hate to do it, but I just have got to give myself a break.  I have so many physical books I want to read right now as well, so I'm just going to chill out a bit and work on reading what I can and want to.  As a lot of my requests on e-galleys are ones I know I wanted, that will still work.

Stacking the Shelves is hosted by Tynga's Reviews.  It is a way for us to share the new books we have collected.  It has been a light week for physical books.  Only 3, and none were purchased!

Physical books:

The first book I won from a Goodreads Giveaway.  The 2nd one was a Books for Trade deal on Twitter.  The third book was an ARC that one of the guys at the bookstore where I work saved for me, knowing that I like teen books.  However as I've not read the first one, I'll probably be hoping to trade it for a book that I want more.

E-galleys for review:

The first is from Edelweiss, the second two from Netgalley.

Free e-books:

I think the middle one was from Amazon, and the other two from Barnes and Noble.

E-books won:

I won these books from the author as part of the YA Giveaway Hop.  I look forward to reading them!

So, what did you add to your shelves this week?

  2. Sounds like you have a plan. I am reading an arc now that isn't tickling my fancy and I feel bad but if it doesn't pick up I may have to DNF it.

  9. That's neat four reviews a week! I wish I read enough for 3-4 reviews a week, but most weeks 2-3 is the best I can do. That sequels challenge sounds nice, I start lots of new series each year, although this year I also managed to finish or continue some series. I also have a lot of e-galleys I still need to read, it's nice to take a break once in a while to catch up on other books. I hope you'll have a great week!

    1. Well, one of the books was only a little over 100 pages, and I had to get it done in time for a review. Usually 2-3 is normal for me as well. Would love to have you come join the sequels challenge! A lot of my egalleys are sequels sometimes too. Thanks for visiting me!

  10. It is very hard for me to avoid requesting galleys when the galleys look so good! I wish you the best of luck with this!

    1. I know! It's like a sickness, an addiction! But then they pile up and I feel stress that I don't read them, so I may write them down, but not request or download unless I really want it. Thanks for stopping by!

  11. I have a similar problem with the eGalleys and ARCs. I ask for books because they appeal to me -- but when it comes time to read and review, I'm just not in the mood for "that book" right now. So far, there's only one DNF in my stack. I'm working really hard to discipline myself and avoid asking for more books than I can read.

I don't recognize any of your new books -- but that isn't unusual. Problem is ... new books just add to my temptation!

    1. It helps to know I'm not the only one who does that. But I'm trying to be disciplined as well. Will have to set a specific goal about it for next year I thin. Thanks for visiting!
