Title: Come Back
Author: Candy J. Starr
Series: Rock Savage #1
Publication date: July 2nd 2017
Genres: Rock Star Romance
Asher Savage, you’ve probably heard of him. He was in that boy band until they broke up then he went totally off the rails. He wouldn’t even be on my radar except my editor offered me the ultimate bribe, working with the rock star of my dreams, if I spend a month photographing Savage’s come back. I’ll take the job but it’ll be pure hell until I get my reward. Savage’s charms will never work on me.
Women dream of me. Hell, they name their vibrators after me! I’d never met a woman who hadn’t fallen at my feet, until I got stuck with this hardass photographer. Alice Cain, she thinks she’s way too good for me, and God knows, she’s probably right. But I need her on side for my come back to be a success and I need her in my bed if I want to keep my ego intact. She will be mine.

As I've mentioned many times lately, I'm really enjoying rock star romances. I've read one other by this author, Too Many Rock Stars. While I did enjoy that one, this time, I really liked the story a lot! It was fun following a former boy band star becoming a rock star. As I am more of a boy band person in real life, this totally hit perfectly for me. I really liked Ash, but at times Alice irritated me a bit. But in the end, both characters were perfectly created to fit this story. The ending had a little twist that I didn't necessarily see coming, and it definitely left me ready to read book two. My only complaints about the book were that there was a certain type of phrase, I don't know what to call it, but a certain way that the author said certain lines that was a little awkward to read. The characters would say something like "I'd not do that." Just didn't flow for me, and it was several times in the story, both characters like that. And then, I don't really want to think about a "juice box" as being called that. But I guess each story/person/character has to have their own idiosyncrasies or quirks, so it could work. :-)
If you like a good rock star romance, this is definitely one you should pick up as soon as you can!
Candy J Starr has filmed and interviewed some big names in the rock business, and a lot of small ones. She’s seen the dirty secrets that go on back stage. She’s seen the ugly side of rock and the very pretty one. But, of course, everything she writes is fiction.
