It's New to Me Challenge First Check-in and Giveaway

I'm not doing as great as I wanted to with this challenge with keeping my participants up to date and involved.  If you haven't joined in yet, the basic idea is to try to start those series or authors that you haven't read yet, but you keep saying you're going to read.  For example, since last year I've been saying I'm going to read The Wrath and the Dawn, and I finally got to it just this past week. And now I can count it for this.  Originally I planned this for starting a series, but now I think it can just be a new author, or that you can start with any book in the series, you just have to have not read any part of it yet.  If you want the full break down, other than the changes I just listed, go HERE.  If you haven't signed up yet, it's not too late.  I've added the link up right  here if you want to join in!

I also would like to have a giveaway for those of you who are participating.   So, everyone who participates and shares the link to one or more of their reviews can enter in the Rafflecopter below.  I'll run this contest until June 1st.

Okay, below is the Linky to add your reviews to!

  1. I end up starting new series all the time, but not necessarily in book order. If I've been fortunate enough to receive a review copy of it, I begin there. :)

    1. I really don't do that very often. The last time I remember doing that is with the Anne Rice Vampire series, and that was only because I was in college and needed something to read, and that was the only book in the campus bookstore that looked any good. :-) You totally can still join in! If the series is new to you, it doesn't matter what part you start with!

  2. Glad I found this challenge! I need encouragement to jump into some of those "tried and true" series. I have many that I've been planning to read but haven't gotten to yet. If I could make a suggestion - it would be good for you to have a button on your sidebar that links up to the sign-up page for the challenge. Then you should make sure that there's a link to this Check-in post on the sign-up page as well so that people can always find the latest check-in. Just a suggestion!

    1. And I'm so glad to have you joined in! The same reasons why you want to join in are why I started it. I love your ideas about the sidebar and links to the sign up page. I need to work on doing better about those kinds of things. I'm off to work on that right now! Thanks for the suggestions, and good luck with your goals!

  3. I missed this check-in! So far, I'm doing well. I signed up for "Mercury" level to discover 1-2 new series, and I'm up to 5 so far! I'm trying really hard to also finish series that I've started before starting new ones.
