First, thanks to XPresso Book Tours for allowing me to read this book for review.  I really enjoyed it, it was a pretty quick read!

We have two  main characters, and we get the story from both of their viewpoints.  I really like when authors do that. So while you get the suspense for one character not knowing what is going on, you still kind of know and wonder how they are going to handle it.  The two main characters are Jake and Claire.

Jake is a football player, and a really good one at that.  But his grades barely make it.  The coach wants to make sure that his grades are exactly where they need to be this year, so that nothing can happen to keep him from playing and having his shot at the career he wants after college.  So they hire a tutor for him.

Claire is your usual nerdy type of girl.  In high school she was tricked by a popular football player, and now has no trust or respect for them.  At the end of the last school year she had lined up the perfect job to help pay for her schooling, and it was in the college bookstore. But something happens and they give the job to someone else.  When they find another job for her, it is tutoring.  While tutoring pays more, she has to work with a football player.  One who is, of course, drop dead gorgeous, and a ladies man.

But while Jake is not happy about having to be tutored, he sees past the nerdy walls that Claire has put up, and really is pretty nice to her.  There were times that I really felt like she was overreacting to something he'd done.  But when we know what happened to her in the past, that probably explains it.  The romance and sex scenes were definitely hot and steamy.

For the most part it was written pretty simply, and a little predictable. But all in a good way, an enjoyable way.  I will definitely be looking to read more books by this author in the future.
