NaNoWriMo 2014

So, today's the day.  I'm participating once again this year in NaNoWriMo.  Last year I sort of participated by working on a novel I'd started a few years ago through NaNoWriMo.  But this year I'm doing it the "real" way.  I came up with a story to write, and have been pre-planning the past month.  I actually had a different idea back in September, but then changed it in October.

I don't want to put a lot about the story on here, as I'm afraid of jinxing myself.  So maybe I'll share more about the actual story at the end of November.  But I will definitely share some things on here as the month goes along, updates on my word count, etc.  And maybe I'll even ask my followers for some advice if I get stuck on something.  I will tell you it is a YA title, and basically a contemporary retelling of a fairy tale.

The main reason why I'm posting about this is that I know it is going to really take away from my reading time this month.  And I'm kind of a bit behind anyway.  :-(  So, I'm just setting up a little ahead that my reviews this month will be fewer probably.  I have done some posts ahead of time, Waiting on Wednesdays, Cover Characteristics, and Top 10 Tuesdays.  I'll also do more Promo and cover reveal posts this month than I normally like to do, because the posts are pretty much planned already for me, so it will not cut into my writing or reading time.  And it's possible there will be days without posts at all.  But I love the idea of creating posts ahead of time, and that's my plan for next year so that I can try to have a post every day next year.

Are any of you doing NaNoWriMo?  If so, leave me your NaNoWriMo name in the comments, or else go friend me, I'm Buffywnabe on the site.  I'll still be posting this month, so please still drop by!

    1. I've already gone and added you as a buddy. The preplanning has definitely helped. Having a chapter outline tells me where I'm going next so that I can make sure where each chapter should end, and how it will be ready for the next part.
