On November 10th, Maggie Stiefvater, Brenna Yovanoff, and Tessa Gratton are all going to be in my town, and so I had to get these books that I don't have yet to get autographed.
Books won:
I won this one from a giveaway on The Best Books Ever blog. I'm very excited about it because it is by Gillian Anderson, and I was a huge fan of The X-Files. And the other author, Jeff Rovin, has written some of my favorite books about bats and saber tooth tigers.
E-galley:
I loved Croak and its sequel Scorch by this author. I have yet to read the 3rd in that series, but I'm sure I'll love it as much. And I've been excited for this since I first saw someone trading it on YA Book Exchange. Got this one from Netgalley.
Free e-book:
So that's what has been going on, as well as what is coming up. I did find out I won a bunch of giveaways this past week, two $10 Amazon Gift Cards were a couple! Wish me luck with NaNoWriMo, and if you're participating, come find me on there as Buffywnabe!
Good luck with NaNoWriMo! Nice books BTW :)

Thanks! I will need all the luck I can get, I think. I'll check out your post as well!
DeleteThat's too bad about the Edelwiess books. I hope it doesn't affect you as well. I'm so behind on eARCs but I'm still thinking I'll catch up one day! Sounds like you're doing great on NaNoWriMo! Have a fantastic week!
ReplyDeleteI hope so too. It seems some publishers do really look at that stuff closely. That's one reason I've really got to start being more careful about how many books I request. Thanks for visiting!
DeleteI need to stop requesting books too. I think I got four last week. o.O Need to actually read them now! I hope you enjoy Fiendish. I have the audiobook but it wasn't keeping my attention.
ReplyDeleteHave a good week Lisa!

I'm trying so hard to get my head back above the water like it was before September. I can see that Fiendish on audio might not keep your attention if I remember from Yovanoff's other books. But I have enjoyed her books when I read them. Thanks for stopping by!
DeleteI'm guilty of over requesting too, especially when it comes to Netgalley. Sigh. Anyway, it looks like you have some awesome books Lisa! I look forward to reading your review for Mortal Heart! Enjoy your goodies :)
ReplyDeleteLately I've been worse on Edelweiss. I've got to get that under control. My review went up today for Mortal Heart. Thanks for stopping by!
DeleteI've stopped requesting e-galleys mainly because I just can't keep up with them! Good luck with your writing, Lisa! :)
ReplyDeleteBook Maniac Reviews
That's what I've got to do as well. I'm only letting myself request for authors I know that I want to read and will read. At least from now on that is. Thanks for stopping by!
DeleteAll your books look awesome but Hell Hole especially looks fabulous! I do the same thing with e-galleys, I think we all do. Don't beat yourself up for it, it happens to everyone! I still have 50 books to read in Netgalley! I'm trying to keep myself out of there but the books that are publishing for Jan - March look so good! This is why I'm also so flipping busy!
ReplyDeleteGood luck with your writing! I am so not doing that this year but I hope you hit your goal!
I know! It is so hard not to go ahead and download them when I have till 2015 to read them. I just think, oh, that's a long time, so I can get to them. But it gets here much quicker than I think!
DeleteI'm doing well with the writing so far. I really want to be able to say that at least once I won NaNoWriMo. Thanks for stopping by!
You got some awesome books. And the strange maid has a beautiful cover.
ReplyDeleteEnjoy reading all of your new books.
And thank you for your comment on my sts.
I love Tessa Gratton books, although this one I had trouble getting into this past summer. But I'm blaming it on how excited I was for BEA at the time and I couldn't concentrate on reading. Thanks for returning the visit and comment!
DeleteGood luck with your NaNoWriMo writing, Lisa :) I don't think I have the stamina to do that myself.
ReplyDeleteYou got some nice-looking books this week, I hope you'll enjoy them.
The books that expire make me so sad! That's one of the reasons why I prefer kindle versions and not the adobe thing, because the kindle books just don't expire. I'm sure if you send the publisher a message via Edelweiss to let them know it expired before you could read it, and that you're sorry you will be forgiven :)
Have a great week.

I was wrong about one I thought expired, I had a date on it for some reason, but it is in my Kindle, so it's still there! I was able to start it yesterday. I'm so glad. I do try to leave a note a lot of times in Edelweiss if I don't get to it anymore. Thanks for stopping by!
DeleteFiendish is one I've been eyeing.
ReplyDeletebtw: Congratulations!
You are one of the winners in a vvb32 reads giveaway!

Please email me for details. vvb32 @ yahoo.com
I had an e-galley of Fiendish, but was unable to get to it before it expired. But since I knew I was going to end up buying it anyway, I didn't get too upset over it. The author will be in town in a week and I can't wait to get it autographed.
DeleteSo happy about winning! I went and gave you my info already. Thanks so much!
After my vacation I am so behind on review books and the blog! I so hope I'll eventually manage to catch up!
ReplyDeleteBest of luck with NaNoWriMo!!
Did you get much chance to read on your vacation? Or were you just busy the whole tiime? Glad you're back blogging! Thanks for stopping by and wishing me luck.
DeleteGood luck with NaNoWriMo -- I've discovered that I'm a reader, not a writer. Thanks for stopping by my blog.
ReplyDeleteYeah, not sure that my writing is any good. But I kind of want to finish this year since I've tried so many times. Then someone can tell me my book sucks and I'll stop and just spend my time reading! Thanks for returning the visit!
