Feature and Follow Friday 8-10-12

Feature and Follow Friday is a weekly event hosted by Parajunkee and Alison Can Read where you get to learn about two featured bloggers each week, and then can gain new followers as well by joining in to the fun.  This is the 2nd type of meme I started doing regularly with blogging, and at one point I was even the featured blogger!  So I try to come back and participate as often as I can.

This week's question is quite appropriate for my 3rd Blogoversary Celebration month:

Q: What would you do over if you were to start your blog again from scratch?

This is a great question!  Some things I've since realized would have helped with my following, first, my website address would match my blog title of Lisa Loves Literature.  Second, I'd have a Twitter handle that matched it as well.  Those are the main things I'd change if I could go back and do that.

What would you do over?

While you're here, don't forget to enter my month long giveaway for a Barnes & Noble gift card, that the dollar amount will increase as I gain followers here:  Blogoversary Month Giveaway.

And before midnight tonight you need to enter to win a copy of Partials from the Book Depository here:  Charlotte's Web of Books Feature Contest.

  2. There is just so much to learn. I suppose if we weren't so keen to jump in, we would have done more research before we stared. But it's so hard to go back and make changes once the followers come. I'm a new follower. you can find me at: http://todayinshenaya.blogspot.com

    1. Yeah, once you kind of get in the swing, it just feels like that's how you're going to do it. Until you get bored or need a change I guess.

  4. I bought a URL recently and loved the ability to change my blog name without losing subscribers (the old URL redirects). It was only $10 and I was so happy to do. Might be worth doing if it annoys you (like it did for me).

    My follow friday. Please visit

    1. It doesn't annoy me necessarily, but someone suggested it would help me increase my following. Oh well. I don't know how to change everything from one place to another, and is the $10 yearly? Monthly? Blogspot is just so easy to use. And I do love GFC for helping me keep up with blogs. Thanks for stopping by!

  5. You can change your Twitter handle! When I changed up my blog from Les Livres to Here Be Bookwyrms, I changed mine with no problems. Just go to "settings" and then "account." =]

    1. Yeah, Twitter is pretty easy, but I don't want to change it. Authors actually recognize me from Twitter when I meet them in person and tell them my handle. Maureen Johnson did, Heather Brewer did, so, I'll stick with my buffywnabe for now. But thanks for stopping by, I'll be heading to your blog next!

    1. I do have a dachshund! The one in my header is based on my Sydney that I had for 12 years and I lost her last January. I still have one I got about a year ago named Dora who is a dapple/piebald mix. She is sitting right next to me! I am such a dachshund lover! I knew I liked you, now I know I like you even more! Anyone with a dachshund must be an awesome person! Thanks for stopping by! I'll go check out your FF too!
