My e-galley of Dark Shimmer expired before I got to finish it, so I checked it out. I got an ARC of The Curious Tale of the In-Between as a trade on Twitter. I got an awesome prize pack of swag and the book Mania from the author J.R. Johansson for reading and reviewing the e-galley of it before it came out. I love that series! And then, I had to order from the bookstore where I work, The Raven's Prophecy Tarot card set that was drawn by Maggie Stiefvater herself. I wasn't lucky enough to win any of them back when all the giveaways were being held, but I had to buy a set when I could.

The first one I got from Netgalley, and it was one I'd just done a WOW post for later this month on. The second one I found Friday night. I was showing a fellow bookstore employee how Edelweiss worked on my Nook, and it was just there!!! I was so excited I immediately requested it and was approved! So excited. I just love Sarah Rees Brennan's books!

Both were free on Amazon. I think I did pretty good only getting two free books this week.
A smaller haul for the week for me, which is a good thing. Although I did get a bunch of books at a garage sale for my school library. But I won't be sharing it on here, just too many.
What did you add to your shelves this week!

I can't wait to see your thoughts on Curious Tale!
ReplyDeleteI'm excited to have it. I'm such a fan of DeStefano!
DeleteI'm curious about Curious Tale too. Enjoy your latest haul.
ReplyDeleteIt sounds like a good one. Can't wait till I can get to it!
DeleteOoh, I have the first two books of the Nightwalkers series, but I haven't gotten to them yet. I'll have to ban myself from checking out library books for a month so I can read some of the stuff I own. >_<
ReplyDeleteThe last one was pretty good. You should go check it out! :-) Banning? I did that with buying, and I'm trying really hard on e-galleys to not request so much. But it's so hard! :-)
DeleteNice haul this week. I really want to check out Worlds of Ink and Shadow. It really catches my attention. I have also thought about Curious Tale as well and can't wait to hear your thoughts.
ReplyDeleteWorlds of Ink and Shadow does sound really good. Can't wait to get to it! Same with Curious Tales, I love the author.
DeleteYou can't go wrong with a smaller haul. It is always nice to have a week to catch up. I am so curious about that Maggie Stiefvater book.
ReplyDeleteActually it's not a book, it is the Tarot card set that she designed for The Raven Boys. So many people said they wanted it that they ended up making sets to sell.
DeleteInteresting books...enjoy them. Have a great week!
ReplyDeleteThanks! Can't wait to get to them. Glad you could stop by.
DeleteI like your book haul. My stacking the shelves post didn't happen this week. I'll just post two weeks next week. I've had the most difficult time just catching up on reading / reviewing. :)
ReplyDeleteI know what you mean, I've been more behind on reviewing than ever lately. Thanks for visiting!
DeleteI am curious about that Coakley book! And the Brennan book too. Two authors I haven't read book by. I hope you enjoy all of your new books, Lisa!
ReplyDeleteAlyssa @ The Eater of Books!
I haven't read Coakley, but the synopsis sounds so good! And I love and highly recommend Brennan. Thanks for stopping by!
DeleteGreat haul. I love the cover for Curious Tale of the In-Between. I actually haven't heard of the other books, so I'll have to check them out.
ReplyDeleteHappy Reading!
I love the cover, synopsis and author on that one! You should check them out, there are some that I am so excited about! Thanks for visiting!
