My Review:

I've loved all of the books in this series so far, so I was ready for this next duet.  I knew from the others that there would definitely be a major cliffhanger, and there was, but it so was not what I had guessed or seen coming as I read.  It was easy to figure out from the little hints and clues that Liam was going to end up with some kind of problem from gambling.  I did not see what happened though as what would be the way it went.  I love that there was a back story between Liam and Maddie that we didn't really know before this book.  It really made all the different events with them in the other books make so much more sense.  I totally was frustrated with Liam throughout the whole thing though because that whole "I'm not good enough for you, you deserve better, blah blah blah" thing irritates me to no end. Especially with how long Liam kept it up, even while still being into her and being such a good guy.  But I'm still loving the story and going to be very impatiently waiting for Always Yours.

My Review:

So I was definitely on the edge of my seat waiting for this one after the cliffhanger ending of book 1, Truly Mine.  This book picked right back up at that cliffhanger spot and we were thrown right back into all the drama and action and emotions.  It was really a great book to have a loyal guy, who didn't let little things that the girl did when she was upset cause him to get mad.  He realized that he was maybe pushing too much or why she was behaving that way and was able to discuss things reasonably.  I can't tell too much in my review without giving things away.  But it was a pretty quick and easy read. Although after some of the bigger stuff happened at the beginning, there was a bit in the middle that was a little slow, and I was a little annoyed with how Sophie was behaving, albeit a normal romance novel type of behavior. And then I felt like their final obstacle was a little reminiscent of something from the book before, and almost wasn't that big of a deal.  However I will stress again that I like when the characters are able to handle those things without the drama that seems to be only for drama's sake and that is done well in this book.

Once again the author leaves us hanging for what in the world will happen with the final sister's duet coming soon, we must know if Liam and Maddie will get together like she wants, or if he will mess it all up.

My Review:

I was so excited to get back to  find out what Mason and Sophie's story would be.  We were left at the end of Hunter and Lennon's duet with a bit of a shocker that made me need this book right then!  Alas, I had to wait until it came out, and I devoured the story, reading every chance I had to so that I could see what would happen.  Now, my one complaint is that there was a lot of jumping around in the first half that made it a bit hard to really grab on and get back into our characters that I was so excited to be with. And Mason left me a bit irritated at first with how he was being so off with Sophie and not even giving them a chance, after their hot bathroom encounter at the beginning.  

But this story started off with a bang and ended with another cliffhanger!  Which I knew was coming, it's how the first two books were.  Once we got past all the jumping around, we were able to really get into the story with Mason and Sophie and start following them, wondering what it would take to convince Mason he should let go of his past and give Sophie and his connection a chance.  This is definitely a roommate series, because they do all end up as roommates again.  Only unlike the first duet, there isn't any love coming from the third roommate, Liam, other than friendship.  I love the relationship with all these friends.  They are really great together, and there for each other.  

I can't give anything away about the cliffhanger and some of the things that happen right before it all goes down, but just know that if you enjoyed the first duet, you'll like this book too, but the drama is from a completely different type of situation, wrapping around in a way that echoes back to how this one started.  Now I'm on pins and needles for book 2!

My Review:
If you remember my review of the first book, Baby Mine, you'll know how far out on the edge of my seat I was waiting for this sequel to pick up from that cliffhanger.   It's hard to write this review without any spoilers. But, just know that all the emotion from the first book is there.  Hunter is still trying to prove to Lennon that he really is there for her, and really cares for her. But the guilt of Lennon being his best friend's girl, and the baby his best friend's, still is there, a ghost between the two of them, even when really they both do want the other one.  And then there is the wrench from Hunter's past which was our big cliffhanger from book 1.  That one keeps popping up, even when Hunter assures Lennon it isn't really an issue, can't be.  We do get more time with Hayden, Hunter's brother who we met in the newsletter novella, Forever Mine, and also get to know a lot more about Lennon's sisters, who we will get to follow in future books in this series.  This book kept me in tears, smiling with the happy times though, and loving the banter between the characters when things were good. And then the baby, loved all of that!  I'm in love with this couple, these characters, and can't wait for the next duet in the series.  I mean, once again, the authors did leave us with a bit of a cliffhanger!
