Synopsis:
EAT. SLEEP. FOOTBALL.
Those are Jackson Jennings, Jr’s three mantras. His entire life, he’s been a trained athlete with only one end-game: the Pro’s. No girls. No parties. No alcohol.
EAT. SLEEP. FOOTBALL.
Repeat.
Every Friday night, Triple J cruises the strip on campus, bored, lonely and conditioned not to party. But the night he meets Charlotte Edmonds on the side of the road, he wonders if his three mantras will ever be enough.
BIG. DUMB. JOCK.
Charlie has no time for Jackson’s antics. Not when he’s stealing her food or teases her to no end, making her tingle in all the right places. But if she’s ever going to have a boyfriend, she’d choose one who isn’t a Neanderthal. One with manners and actual time to spend with her. Not a hulking man-child who cruises the strip at night, in his Big. Dumb. Truck.

My Review:
This is a series that I just love and I was so excited to read this next one. The characters in this one were different from the other books in that they were both pretty inexperienced sexually, so that made their awkwardness even more awkward for them, and a bit for us as the readers. Which hey, was the point, right? To feel what the characters are feeling? I definitely enjoyed the banter between Charlie and Jackson. Like the first one in the series, there really wasn't the extra unnecessary drama that there often is in romance books. I like how the author keeps it real, or in my opinion, keeps it real. No one overreacts over little things, but both still stress and worry about the same types of things that anyone would. The sex scenes were steamy and fit in seamlessly without making the whole story just about the sex. And it wasn't just our main couple that I loved, it was all of Jackson's friends as well. Ney really knows how to write a great cast of characters to keep the whole story well rounded and fun.
I also liked how Jackson liked to "cruise" the road in town. Reminded me of my college days with my best friend and roommate, and when we came back to our hometown, her side of town actually, and cruised Noland Road.
