Cover Characteristic: Silhouettes

The Cover Characteristic meme is hosted at  Sugar and Snark.   Here are the guidelines:

Each week we will post a characteristic and choose 5 of our favorite covers with that characteristic. If you want to join in and share your 5 favorite covers with the weeks particular characteristic, then just make a post, grab the meme picture (or make your own) and leave your URL in Linky (so we can visit).
You don’t even need to participate, just stopping by and saying hi would be great! Don’t forget to stop by the other participants!

All I can say is that there were so many on this one!  So instead of the normal 5, I'm going to list 10!!  And because I like them all, I am not going to put them in any order.  I am going to either link them back to Goodreads, or else my review.  So here goes.

Across the Universe by Beth Revis - The original cover of this book might be my favorite of all that I've picked today.  But shh, I'm not playing favorites!

Shiver was the first book in the Wolves of Mercy Falls series, as well as the first book I read by Maggie Stiefvater.  And I only picked it up because it was a nominee for my state's teen award that year.  Shortly after that I had to of course read book two, Linger.  The third one wasn't out yet, so I had to wait a little while, and I was lucky enough to get to meet Maggie for the first time when she came to town to promote Forever.   I love that the silhouettes aren't just black, but different colors.

Love Me Tender by Audrey Couloumbis is one that I think I read for one of the award lists for my state.  But I'm not sure, so it isn't a review on my blog anywhere.  I also can't believe I didn't think of this one for the map theme last week!  I love that it is what the silhouettes are made of!

Arianna's Destiny by Michelle Sodaro - I have to include this one because I just really loved the cover.

The Curse of Jacob Tracy by Holly Messinger is a newer book, and I really just love the cover. And how spooky are the silhouettes at the bottom?

Disney After Dark (Kingdom Keepers #1) by Ridley Pearson - I loved this book, and really need to read on in the series!  But I love the silhouettes.  It is another one that I read before I really started reviewing on my blog.

Deadly by Julie Chibbaro - I love this historical fiction story about Typhoid Mary.  It was so interesting and a great look at a story that we don't necessarily know that much about.

Because I Am Furniture by Thalia Chaltas - This was another book I read for the awards in my state.  It was an interesting read, and definitely a great cover.

The Don't Get Mad series is by one of my favorite authors, one who I believe needs some more publicity, Gretchen McNeil.  It had to do with bullying, and even put into the light how teachers are often a part of it, whether intentionally or not.  Get Even was the first one, and Get Dirty was the second.  Since it's a series, I'm counting the two books as just one on my countdown.

Origin by Jessica Khoury - I really enjoyed this book. And am a big fan of this author as well.  It's another type of a non-black silhouette, and I love these!  I still need to read on in the series, I do have book 2 sitting on my TBR shelf!

Those are my top 10, but I had so many more I could have included.  This one was so easy to find, but hard to decide which ones were my favorite!  Which ones do you like the best?
