Sunday Post #14 and Stacking the Shelves November 2nd, 2014

The Sunday Post is a weekly meme hosted  @ Caffeinated Book Reviewer. It’s a chance to share news ~ A post to recap the past week on your blog, showcase books and things we have received and share news about what is coming up on our blog for the week ahead. See rules here: Sunday Post Meme.   With NaNoWriMo starting yesterday, I know that often my posts will be a little bit less than normal this month, so I thought each week I'd do the Sunday Post as well as Stacking the Shelves to put a little bit more out there.

Last week on the blog:
Only 2 reviews this past week, and I a just so far behind on reading!  I've got two e-galleys that are going to expire this week, tomorrow and Tuesday.  I'm guessing I won't get either of them done.  Both are Edelweiss, and I am unable to download for any longer since they are published this week too.  Aack.  I just hope it won't hurt me next time I request a book I really want!  But I can't help it.  Last week was just so busy.  I worked two nights at my part time job, and then Friday was a Halloween party.  Oh well, like I said, I couldn't help it.  I am trying really hard to quit requesting so many e-galleys, and I also hope on Thanksgiving break and Christmas break especially, that I can get caught up on reading.

This week on the blog:
  • Promo for Fatal Abduction by Julia Crane
  • Cover Reveal for Between the Shadow and the Soul (Darkest Soul #1) by Susanne Winnacker
  • Top 10 Tuesday (If time)
  • Waiting on Wednesday
  • Review:  Mortal Heart (His Fair Assassin #3) by Robin LaFevers
Again I've got a kind of busy week.  I've got to get my NaNoWriMo writing done each day.  I did so awesome yesterday, over 3000 words, haven't done any yet today.  I've got writing dates set up with my writing buddy for tomorrow night, and also probably Wednesday or Thursday night.  I will work at my bookstore job Friday night, and then Saturday my school district does Battle of the Books, so that will be my whole day spent there.  Then I'll have another review hopefully, not sure which of my e-galleys I'll read.  Doubt I'll get to the ones that expire, but I've got a couple that I have on my Kindle app that don't expire, so probably it'll be one of those.

Stacking the Shelves is hosted by Tynga's Reviews.  It is a way for us to share the new books we have collected.

Books Purchased

On November 10th, Maggie Stiefvater, Brenna Yovanoff, and Tessa Gratton are all going to be in my town, and so I had to get these books that I don't have yet to get autographed.

Books won:

I won this one from a giveaway on The Best Books Ever blog.  I'm very excited about it because it is by Gillian Anderson, and I was a huge fan of The X-Files.  And the other author, Jeff Rovin, has written some of my favorite books about bats and saber tooth tigers.

E-galley:

I loved Croak and its sequel Scorch by this author.  I have yet to read the 3rd in that series, but I'm sure I'll love it as much.  And I've been excited for this since I first saw someone trading it on YA Book Exchange.  Got this one from Netgalley.

Free e-book:

So that's what has been going on, as well as what is coming up.  I did find out I won a bunch of giveaways this past week, two $10 Amazon Gift Cards were a couple!  Wish me luck with NaNoWriMo, and if you're participating, come find me on there as Buffywnabe!
